Officers contacted a 40-year-old female who reported a male approached her in a green Pontiac Grand Am who attempted to convince her to get in the vehicle. She told Officers the male fled in the vehicle northbound on Weber Road. Officers searched the area and pulled over the suspect Carlos Castaneda-De-Leon (09/10/89) in a nearby apartment complex parking lot. He told Officers he just wanted to give the complainant a ride home. Castaneda was found to be in possession of a couple of cellophane baggies with Cocaine and arrested. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Officers responded to the Regional Financial Loan Company and contacted two female employees who reported they were robbed at a gunpoint. They told Officers a male walked into the business and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of money. No one was injured in the robbery. The suspect is described as a thin clean-shaven light-colored Black or Hispanic male, and 5’8″ feet tall. He was last seen wearing a khaki baseball cap, grey t-shirt, and blue jeans. Officers responded to a traffic accident in which a silver 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by a 35 year old male struck a silver 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution driven by 24 year old Kayla Anne Lane. Lane, her three passengers along with the other driver were transported to Spohn Memorial for medical treatment. All had non-life threatening injuries. The 35 year old male appeared to be intoxicated and a mandatory blood draw was taken. He was cited for Failure to Control Speed and released to Spohn Memorial staff due to his injuries. An Intoxication Assault
investigation is ongoing.
Officers contacted the victim, a 39-year-old female, who reported a Black male walked up to her in the area of 1400 Tarlton and demanded money. The victim refused to hand over her money and in the struggle she sustained a laceration to her leg. She was transported to Spohn Memorial for medical treatment. The suspect is described as a Black male weighing 220 lbs. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and a blue “do-rag” on his head. Officers responding to a stolen vehicle call observed the gold 2003 Toyota Solaris traveling northbound on IH 37. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver Roberto Estevis (09/26/72) and passenger Raul Pacho (08/24/57) were taken into police custody. The victim, a 21 year old male, reported to Officers he was by his car smoking a cigarette with his friend, when two males jumped in his car and the driver attempted to run his friend down with the vehicle as they drove off. Both victims positively identified Estevis and Pacheco and they were arrested and booked at the CDC. Pacho was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, while Estevis was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
