Drug Selling Graffiti Vandal Arrested in Late Evening Raid

Narcotics officers executed a search warrant at 4114 Carlton as part of an initiative to target suspected graffiti offenders selling narcotics in the city.

The search warrant resulted in the seizure of three handguns, one of which is stolen out of this city along with an assault rifle.  Officers also seized 1.83 lbs. of Marijuana which was packaged for sale in addition to 4.76 grams of Cocaine and 7.30 grams of Methamphetamine.

Also seized were numerous graffiti instruments, graffiti documents and other graffiti paraphernalia.

Richard Trevino (08/05/89) a known graffiti vandal was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The inside of this address was covered with the same graffiti that has plagued the 78415 area.

Graffiti Task Force Detective Steve Smith also responded to the residence and assisted in the investigation as part of our new multi-divisional partnership to address the graffiti problem.

Possible charges for graffiti and possession of a stolen weapon may follow after further investigation.

Shooter Bails from Home, Drugs Confiscated

Officers responded to the area for complaints of shots being fired. Upon their arrival, Officers located spent shell casings in front of the residence. Officers checked the home for potential victims, but found a variety of drugs and drug paraphernalia instead. 

The Narcotics & Vice Division served a search warrant on the residence and confiscated  2.14 oounces of Cocaine valued at $2,000 and 6.12 ounces of Hydro-Marijuana valued at $2,200.  They also seized 18.63 grams of pills and  3.18 grams of Heroin valued at $300.   Also seized was over $2,300 in U.S. currency.

The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by The Narcotics & Vice Division.

Narcotics Investigators executed a search warrant today as a result of ongoing undercover investigation. During the course of the search, some marijuana was located. As a result, two men identified as Noe Villarreal 8.23.90 and Paul Orta 7.20.89 were arrested.

Narcotics Investigators are continuing with this investigation; therefore, no further information will be released at this time.

Nine 8 liners and $1,103 Seized by Narcotics Vice Investigations Division

On Thursday January 5, 2012 at approximately 6:30 p.m. the Narcotics Vice Investigations Division (NVID) served search warrants at 2156 Gollihar One Stop Market #3 and 3101 S. Port Ave. An’s Market. 

The search warrants were obtained through information developed in an undercover investigation regarding illegal 8 liner gambling at both locations. 

At this time no arrests have been made, however the investigation is ongoing and there may be arrests at a future date.

 NVID Investigators seized six internet gaming machines and $1,103.00 in cash from One Stop Market #3, while three internet gaming machines  were confiscated from An’s Market.

 

 

 

**Update** Narcotics Officers Arrest Two in Early Morning Raid

On Friday January 6, 2012 at approximately 7:25 a.m. the SWAT Team served a search and arrest warrant for the Narcotics Vice Investigations Division (NVID) at 4022 Montego Apartments.

The warrant was obtained as the result of information developed during an ongoing undercover narcotics investigation conducted by NVID.

Seized as result of the warrant service was 79.78 grams of black tar heroin, 2.08 grams of brown heroin and 6.23 grams of crystal methamphetamine.  Also seized was $1,600 in U.S. currency.

The street value of the drugs recovered were Black Tar Heroin – $3,600, Metamphetamine – $600, Brown Heroin – $140, for a total of $4340

Carlos Caballero Jr. (01/11/84) along with Derek Alan Roberts (06/02/86) were arrested.  Caballero was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (1F), while Roberts was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (3F).

In continuing the efforts of “Keeping Corpus Christi Safe” Narcotics/Vice Officers executed a search warrant at 4418 Moravian, after conducting an undercover operation at this address.

During the search officers recovered :

65 grams Crack – Value $ 2,500.00

55 grams Cocaine – Value $ 2,000

56 grams Heroin – Value $ 2,400

5.56 grams marijuana – Value $ 500.00

4 – New flat screen televisions in box

Narcotics Search Warrant

The Narcotics/Vice unit executed a search warrant at 336 Osage after conducting an undercover operation. During the search of the residence officers seized 13.5 lbs of marijuana, three handguns and $ 24,000 in currency. The first suspect (Casias,Ramon 05/15/52) was arrested for Possession of Marijuana (over 5 lbs) and Felon in Possession of a Handgun, the second suspect (Casias, Julian 11/29/90) was arrested for felon in Possession of a Handgun.

 

Narcotics/Vice Yields Cash, Guns and Crack Cocaine

In an effort to “Keep Corpus Christi Safe” Narcotics Officers, working on a community tip, executed a search warrant at 2750 Lawton around 3:30pm on Wednesday, 10.5.2011
During the search Narcotics/Vice Officers seized 14.47 grams of crack cocaine (2nd Degree Felony) along with 178 assorted pills. Officers also located a stolen handgun that was reported out of Portland Texas. Officers seized $1633.00 in U.S. Currency as well. Officers arrested Michael Coleman (12.13.1989).

The address is located within a Drug Free Zone as it is near Martin Middle School. A Burglary charge is pending further investigation.

Narcotics Officers executed a search warrant @ 1610 Mestina (one block from City Hall). During the search Officers recovered a quantity of crack cocaine, powder cocaine and $1432 in US Currency.

Arrested at the scene were Sylvia Firo (4.13.78), Richard Hernandez (8.10.78) and Frank Martinez (5.8.87)

Narcotics/Vice Division conducts Eight Liner Investigation

Working off citizen complaints, Officers with the Narcotics/Vice Division conducted an undercover investigation at Cody’s Sports Bar. The bar is located at 5637 ½ Carroll Lane @ Holly Road.
Complaints indicated that cash was being distributed to those “winning” on the Eight Liner gambling Machines.

Undercover Officers were able to obtain a warrant and executed it on Sept. 9, 2011. Officers seized Eight – Electronic Gambling Devices and $3436.00 in U.S. Currency.

No arrests were made as the case is still under investigation.
