Officers arrested Brice Anthony Coffman (06/22/88) on an outstanding Nueces County warrant #11000138Y obtained by Corpus Christi Homicide/Robbery Detectives. Coffman struck and stabbed his 48-year-old neighbor with a golf club on August 17, 2011, after a verbal altercation.
Coffman was arrested and booked at the CDC. He was charged with the outstanding Nueces County Aggravated Assault warrant. His bond was set at $50,000.

Police received a call at 4:35 a.m. from a passerby reference a man down; when they arrived, they located a 40-year old male lying on the roadway deceased.
The Medical Examiner’s office has released the name of the victim as Michael Olivarez (7.29.1971). They also indicate that the victim had been shot multiple times. The investigation has also revealed that Mr. Olivarez was not from Corpus Christi. Detectives also indicated that a secondary crime scene was located at a car wash at Ayers/Sacky. Detectives collected items at the scene and are currently evaluating them.

5:15 p.m. Aggravated Robbery 4918 Ayers 1108110110
Officers responded to the Regional Financial Loan Company and contacted two female employees who reported they were robbed at a gunpoint. They told Officers a male walked into the business and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of money. No one was injured in the robbery. The suspect is described as a thin clean-shaven light-colored Black or Hispanic male, and 5’8″ feet tall. He was last seen wearing a khaki baseball cap, grey t-shirt, and blue jeans. 12:09 a.m. Intoxication Assault 4600 Everhart 1108120001/Major Accident C1105775
Officers responded to a traffic accident in which a silver 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by a 35 year old male struck a silver 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution driven by 24 year old Kayla Anne Lane. Lane, her three passengers along with the other driver were transported to Spohn Memorial for medical treatment. All had non-life threatening injuries. The 35 year old male appeared to be intoxicated and a mandatory blood draw was taken. He was cited for Failure to Control Speed and released to Spohn Memorial staff due to his injuries. An Intoxication Assault
investigation is ongoing.
