Mary Ann Leal is originally from Harlingen Texas and worked with the Harlingen Police Department for 4 years as records clerk. In 1989 Mary Ann moved to Corpus Christi and began a job at the Nueces County Appraisal District as a data entry clerk.
Mary Ann began her career with the Corpus Christi Police Department in 1990 when she was hired as a clerk typist where she worked for the next three years. Since 1990 Mary Ann has held several different positions with the Corpus Christi Police Department. She has worked as a dispatcher, payroll/management aide in Dispatch, a Central Records clerk focused on Public Information Act, appointed by Chief Simpson as a management aid in Administration, and she currently works as a management assistant with the Traffic Division filing misdemeanor driving while intoxicated cases with the District Attorney’s Office.
