Welfare Concern leads to an arrest for Murder

On December 2, 2022, at approx. 9:22 p.m. CCPD officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Crews Street in reference to a welfare concern. Officers arrived and contacted family members who advised that they had not heard from the female victim in several days and that this was very unusual for her. The officers were told that other family members attempted to contact the victim but were unsuccessful as well. The officers further communicated with family members and the suspect, who would not allow officers to conduct the welfare check.

Due to the information provided to the officers and through their investigative efforts, officers believed that the victim was in danger. Officers contained the scene and were able to get a search warrant for the residence. Once the warrant was signed officers entered the residence and found the 46-year-old female deceased. CID was called and Officers arrested 62-year-old Hector Davila for murder and transported to the City Detention Center.
