MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2022

With Memorial Day Weekend 2022 upon us, the Corpus Christi Police Department has a few reminders for the residents and visitors to our wonderful city.

Please be patient. Traffic may be congested as you make your way to the beach. The Corpus Christi Police Department will have additional officers patrolling the beach and roadways.

Know the Beach Rules:

On ALL beaches:
-No glass containers.
-Must be 21 years old to consume alcohol.
-Dispose of litter in trash receptacles.
-No canopies left overnight.

On Gulf beaches (additional rules)
-Speed limit is 15 mph. All traffic laws apply including Driving While Intoxicated.
-Beach Parking Permits are required.
-No Campfires – Burn Ban in effect.
-No Golf Carts or Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs) allowed on Park Rd 22, SH361 or any road with speed limit of more than 35 mph.
-Camping is prohibited in front of condos and hotels. Allowed for 3 days & nights consecutively, but no more than 6 days within 1 month.
-Dogs are not allowed on the beach between Zahn Rd to Beach Access Road 3. You may have a dog on the beach between the Packery Channel and Bob Hall Pier, but they must be on a leash.

On North Beach and McGee Beach (additional rules)
-No driving on the beach.
-No BBQ pits allowed.
-No moonwalks or other inflatable games.
-No campfires.
-Dogs must be on a leash or under verbal command
