Labor Day 2021 is upon us and the Corpus Christi Police Department would like all our community to have a safe & fun time.
If you are traveling to the Island be aware that there will be congestion, be sure to be patient and we will work hard to move the traffic along.
There will be additional officers both on the Island and beach ensuring that everyone is safe.
-If you plan on drinking alcohol have a designated driver, use a ride share or taxicab.
-This weekend will be a DWI “No Refusal” weekend. Should you be arrested for DWI and you refuse a blood draw a warrant will be issued for the blood work.
-The speed limit on the beach is 15 mph and all traffic laws apply on the beach.
-No glass containers are allowed on the beach.
-If you are traveling on the beach be sure to purchase a beach parking permit.
