On August 25, 2021 at approximately 11:15 pm the US Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force and officers with CCPD located and arrested Capital Murder suspect Johnny Alvarez. The officers were able to locate Alvarez in the 5600 block of Weber Rd. and take him into custody without incident. During the arrest he was found to have 2 additional felony warrants and he was also in possession of a firearm. Johnny Alvarez was additionally charged with felon in possession of a firearm and transported to the City Detention Center.
Johnny Alvarez was a suspect in the July 25th shooting at 4500 Weber Rd. that left one man dead. Great work by all officers involved in getting this dangerous felon off the street.
