On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, Detectives with the Corpus Christi Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force were conducting a follow up investigation reference recent auto thefts and vehicle burglaries.
Detectives recognized a suspect exiting a vehicle on the 3000 Block of Eisenhower as a burglary suspect that was seen in recent surveillance footage. He was contacted and identified as 17-year-old Erik Munoz. Munoz was found to be in possession of a firearm which had been stolen from a vehicle on July 21, 2021. Munoz was also in possession of marijuana. Munoz was arrested and charged with Theft of a Firearm-From a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana.
A second male was contacted and identified as 17-year-old Adrian Balli. Balli was also in possession of a firearm. Balli was arrested and charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
