On Thursday, December 5, 2019 officers were dispatched to 1200 Elgin in reference to two bodies inside a house. When the officers arrived, they found two deceased adult males inside the residence.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division responded and quickly began to investigate this incident. A suspect was quickly identified and found to have several active warrants for his arrest. The suspect was picked up on Friday December 6th by the United States Marshal Service and the Corpus Christi Gang Unit for three unrelated warrants for his arrest. At the time of his arrest he was additionally charged with Theft of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. The offender, 27-year-old Jose Luis Ramirez, was then transported to the City Detention Center to be booked in for the charges and active warrants.
The Corpus Christi Police Department Criminal Investigation Division Detectives continued following up on the Capital Murder case that occurred on 1200 Elgin. On Monday, December 9th the detectives were able to secure a Capital Murder warrant with a $1,000,000.00 bond for Jose Ramirez, he remains at the Nueces County jail.
