At approximately 3:39 PM on June 22, 2018 Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a Robbery at a Credit Union located on the 2600 block of Rodd Field Rd.
Upon arrival officers determined that a robbery had occurred and that during the commission of the robbery a suspicious item was purposely left behind. In response to the unidentified item being left behind by the suspect, officers ensured that all parties inside of the credit union were evacuated.
As a precautionary measure, members of the Corpus Christi Bomb Squad were dispatched to the scene in an effort to determine whether the suspicious item presented a threat.
Once the item was deemed to be safe and there was no verified threat to the location, Detectives began their investigation into the robbery.
The suspect was described as between 55-60 years of age, standing 5’08-6’00, weighing between 180-210 pounds, with white facial hair, wearing a long sleeve blue in color button down shirt, blue jeans, brown cowboy boots, eyeglasses with black rims and a light brown or beige cowboy hat.
The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and in an unknown direction.
