CCPD Narcotics and Vice Division officers concluded a month’s long investigation into drug dealing in the Flour Bluff Area Tuesday afternoon, serving a search warrant at a residence on the 1200 block of Baywood Lane. During the search, Investigators found and seized nearly three pounds of hydroponic marijuana, one and a half ounces of THC wax, approximately one ounce of THC oil and three-quarters of an ounce of THC edibles. In addition, Investigators seized $18,000 in cash, three vehicles, two semi-automatic handguns, a shotgun, and a gun safe, all believed to be used in or proceeds from drug sales.
As a result of the raid, Investigators arrested Eli Copeland (DOB: 9-11-2000), Leslie Garcia (DOB: 3-28-1997), and Amanda McKenzie (DOB: 2-16-1984). Copeland and Garcia were both charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, while McKenzie was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Investigators had received numerous complaints from the community regarding suspected drug dealing from the residence, and used multiple investigative techniques to obtain the search warrant.
