Murder and Aggravated Assault Arrest

Corpus Christi Police patrol units were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Cambridge Drive on 02/07/2018 at about 07:07 p.m. for reports of a stabbing.  When the Officers arrived they were directed inside the house where they found a total of four people had been stabbed.   Witnesses identified the offender as 28 year old Marco Antonio Moreno who was still inside the house.   Witnesses reported that as many as 20 people were present in the house for a worship service when Mr. Moreno stabbed the four people.  Witnesses told police that the offender was part of the congregation and his motive for the assault is unknown at this time.    Witnesses took possession of the knife that was used and turned it over to police.  A 61 year old male victim has died as a result of the stabbing and three other male victims suffered injuries, one of them is reported to be in serious condition at a local hospital.

Marco Antonio Moreno was booked at the Nueces County Jail on a Murder charge and three charges of Aggravated Assault.
