At approximately 3:49 pm Officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of Emory Street for an attempted kidnapping. A 10-year-old girl reported that around 3:20 pm a male approached her as she was walking near the intersection of Emory and Rushing and advised the 10-year old that her parent had sent him to pick her up. As the male approached closer, the 10-year-old girl ran for safety.
Corpus Christi Police Officers canvassed the area looking for surveillance footage and any possible witnesses. Officers were able to obtain video and isolate images of the possible suspect vehicle, which is described as a blue in color SUV. The 10-year-old girl described the suspect as a 30-40 year old male, standing approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches, with short dark hair which had some gray, a circular tattoo on his arm and was wearing a sleeveless shirt and blue jeans.
Investigators would now like your help to identify this man. Officers are also asking that if you live in the area of Emory and Rushing and own surveillance cameras, that you please check your footage for any suspicious activity that could assist in the investigation.
