Corpus Christi Police Offices were dispatched to the area of 1400 18th Street in reference to a shooting. Officers arrived and advised that CCFD medics were on scene and were treating a 24 year old male victim that had been shot in the torso. Medics transported the victim to Spohn Shoreline where he succumbed to his injuries. Officers learned from witnesses that a fight was to occur at the location. Witnesses stated that a vehicle drove by slowly, fired several shots striking the victim and then drove away. Officers contacted and transported witnesses to the main police station to be interviewed.
Officers investigated and went to the area of 6400 Everhart to contact a possible suspect. Several subjects were contacted at this location and transported to the main police station to be interviewed. Detectives developed enough probable cause to arrest Tyler Farmer (06-30-1995), James Lockhart (12-30-1998) and Gavin Escoto (01-10-1998) for murder and transported them to the City Detention Center. This is still an ongoing investigation and if anyone has any additional information they are asked to contact the police.
