NARCOTICS/VICE OFFICERS ARREST FLOUR BLUFF DRUG TRAFFICKER

A months long investigation into drug trafficking in the Flour Bluff area ended Tuesday night when CCPD Narcotics/Vice Investigations Division Investigators, with the assistance of Operations Division Officers, arrested a twenty-seven year old Corpus Christi man.  Operations Division Officers arrested Aaron Pena (05/14/1990) for an outstanding Nueces County Warrant during a traffic stop on the 3700 block of Way Out Weber Road.  While searching Pena, Officers seized approximately three-quarters of an ounce of crystal methamphetamine.  While searching the car, Officers found and seized a clear plastic bag containing approximately one ounce of alprazolam pills.  The driver of the car, Fortino Silvas (02/12/1993) was subsequently arrested as well.  Both men were charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a controlled substance and booked at the City Detention Center.  NVID Officers followed up with a search warrant on an apartment on the 900 block of Green Bay, which resulted in the seizure of a small amount of heroin.  Additional arrests as a result of this ongoing investigation are anticipated.
