Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the 6500 block of High Arch Court in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival officers contacted the 75 year old male suspect and detained him. Officers checked the house and discovered the 94 year old female victim in a wheelchair deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot. Officers learned that the suspect took some pills prior to the officers arriving. He was transported to Bay Area Hospital for treatment. The deceased victim was the mother of the suspect. Officers arrested and transported Leslie Charles Nelson (08/10/1942) to the City Detention Center once he was cleared from the hospital. This is still an ongoing investigation.
