Patrol Report 11/03/2014

The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 204 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight November 2 to 7:00 a.m. on November 3, 2014. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

“Bravo” District

Offense: Burglary

A 50 year old male business owner called Corpus Christi Police after he received a call from his alarm company regarding a burglary at his business located at 5830 McArdle Rd.

The male told officers that he looked at the video from his camera surveillance system and saw that the suspect wore gloves and pried the front door open with a tool. Once inside the male took a cash drawer from the register that contained no cash, and then left through the front door.  The suspect is described as a heavy set white or Hispanic male, wearing a baseball cap covered by a hood and a face mask.

At the time of the burglary he was wearing a light colored jacket, gloves, and oversized baggy shorts. Officers are still investigating this case, and no suspects have been arrested.

 

 

“Charlie” District

Corpus Christi Police responded to a report of a suspect that had just stolen items out of two vehicles in the same neighborhood in and around the 4900 block of Andover St. Officers found a lawn mower that had been abandoned on the sidewalk that had been removed from the back of a truck. Also in the same area, a female stated she had observed a male removing items from her vehicle that was parked in front of her home. When she confronted the suspect, he left the lawnmower behind and took off on foot.

While officers were looking in the area for the suspect, they received a call from the female saying the suspect who had broken into her car earlier had returned. The female victim and two male witnesses attempted to detain the 59 year old suspect, but he pulled out a knife and threatened to stab them.  The witnesses were able to subdue the suspect, however he sustained major facial and head injuries.

Police arrived back at the location and took the suspect into custody.  Property related to the burglary was located and returned to the victims.

The suspect was transported to Spohn Shoreline for treatment of his injuries. Once he is released from the hospital he will face charges of aggravated assault, a second degree felony, for making threats with a knife, and burglary of a vehicle, a state jail felony.

 

 

“Delta” District

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol observed a 2012 Toyota Tundra truck parked in front of a convenience store located at 601 S. Port Ave. running with no driver in sight. The officer looked inside the truck and observed a small child in a car seat in the back seat. When he looked around the area he did not see anybody around.

While investigating this call, a female Lourdes Dominguez (04/18/1997) came out of the store and said that the 1 year old child inside, and the vehicle that was running was hers.

Officers arrested her, for endangering a child, a state jail felony, and impounded her truck.  A grandparent was called to take custody of the child.
