Occurred on 9/22/11, 6:00 p.m. Theft of a Firearm/Possesion of Marijuana 3600 Cypress 1109220128
The Corpus Christi Police Department Narcotics and Vice Officers served a search warrant in the 3600 block of Cypress on September 22, 2011. Officers located three handguns in the possesion of a convicted felon along with a small quantity of Marijuana.
One of the handguns was stolen in an auto burglary in 2008. The service weapon belonged to a Huntsville PD Officer who originally reported the auto burglary on offense report #0811070079. The Hunstville police officer has been notified that his weapon has been recovered and taken of the streets.
Gilberto Hernandez (05/30/64) and Kayla Hernandez (05/26/88) were both arrested. They were both charged with Possession of Marijuana, while Gilberto Hernandez was additionally charged with Theft of a Firearm.
