Officers contacted the 53-year-old victim who reported two males followed him from the ACE check cashing store to the H.E.B. in Moore Plaza. The victim told Officers one of the males asked for a cigarette as he waited for a cab at the H.E.B. exit area. When the cab arrived, the suspect shoved the victim into the cab, pinned him down, and took his money from his pocket. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim and a 26-year-old bystander chased the suspect. The bystander caught up to suspect at the Vitamin Shop and recovered most of the money stolen returning it to the victim. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 24 to 35 years of age, 5”7 to 5”9 feet tall and weighing 155 to 175 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue polo style short sleeve shirt with black and white stripes, light-colored shorts, and a dark-colored baseball cap. No further description is available on the getaway driver. Both suspects were last seen fleeing in a red Chevrolet pickup.
