Officers responded to the Bay Shore Inn for a shooting in which a victim had been struck by gunfire. Upon their arrival, Officers found 22-year-old Aaron Lee Barrera deceased. Witnesses told Officers, two masked men kicked in the door and shot the victim. A female in the room was unharmed. The suspects fled the Bay Shore Inn and a search was initiated. The Corpus Christi Police Department was assisted in the search for the suspects by the Texas Department of Public Safety Air Support and the Nueces County Sheriff’s Department Canine Tracking Unit. The Corpus Christi Police Department Homicide/Robbery Bureau continues their investigation and asks that anyone having any information regarding this crime is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS.
